2019 MCU Exchange Letter

Dear writer,

Thank you for writing for me! If you want to write a story based off of one of my more specific likes or by mixing and matching my likes, I’ll love it, and if you get an idea that at least brushes any of my likes and doesn’t hit a DNW, go for it. Please don't feel constrained by any specific prompts. They're quite frankly all over the place, and if you find something in them that you like, scoop it out, and if you don't find anything you like, don't worry about it and write whatever you want.

I know that there aren't a lot of details here, but I hope there's enough. 

Note: I really don't care if you include background ships, canon or non-canon, as long as they don't overshadow the requested groupings.

- Hurt/comfort, especially when the comfort is focused on more than the hurt, though the hurt can be as dark as you want. 

- Comfort after nightmares is nice, though

- Get together fic

- First kisses

- Literally sleeping together

- Established relationships

- Memory loss/memory issues

- Loyalty, protectiveness, loved ones supporting each other through anything and even if they don't know how to support each other or screw up a bunch

- Recovery from trauma (it doesn’t have to be a full recovery, I love reading about characters finding a new normal)

 

- Characters finding out secrets about each other and characters hiding things from others because they’re ashamed and afraid that they’ll be judged, and then acceptance

- Dealing with past trauma (this can include canon or non-canon abuse and non-con, anything you want)

 

- Characters getting pets, any kind of pets (please don't kill the pet)

- Angst with a happy or hopeful ending

- Joyful fluff where everyone's just happy and that's that

- AUs! Canon AUs, post-apocalyptic AUs, mundane AUs--coffee shop, single parent AU where they're the parents of their canon kids or the adoptive parent of one of the other MCU characters who's de-aged...go wild!

So I've seen and liked Endgame, and I'd love fic set during Endgame in the five year gap for characters who didn't get Snapped, or even for characters who did get Snapped in an AU where they didn't. I'd also love post-Endgame fic where there's some dealing with the massive fall-out of all that grief and trauma and being gone for five years (in the case of Snapped or quantum realmed characters) and trying to re-adjust...

For canonverse Rhodey and Nebula in particular, I'd like fic during or post-Endgame, but if you can manage to get them to hang out at some other point in the MCUverse, I will absolutely buy what you're selling.  

Fic set at any other point in the MCU would be totally welcome too, and I would be thrilled, just as I would be thrilled with AUs! 

Group: Scott Lang/Sam Wilson

This is legitimately my OTP. I hate to be this person, but anything you write with this pairing will be excellent for me. Maybe a pre-Endgame canon divergence AU with the two of them running into each other and hitting it off, or Sam trying to recruit Scott? Or post-Endgame with the two of them connecting and trying to move on with their lives? Or a mundane AU where Scott's his single dad ex-con self and Sam is a veteran and an eligible bachelor with a lot of issues and BFFs named Steve and Bucky who keep telling him to Get Out There And Live...

Group: James "Rhodey" Rhodes/Nebula

I just loved the interactions between these two in Endgame! Their moment together when they were recovering their Infinity Stone, be still my heart! I don't even know, I just want to see them together.

I see a lot of potential for bittersweetness and comfort and understated moments where they're not sure if they trust each other, but...no, yeah, they definitely end up trusting each other and they just have this kind of quiet understading and chemistry.

Maybe something with the two of them connecting after the events of Endgame? Rhodey's grieving for Tony and for Natasha, Nebula's grieving for her sister still (even though Gamora's kiiiind of back) and she's actually also sad about Tony too? They start finding comfort in each other and one thing leads to another?

Or something expanding on their time together during Endgame? 

I'm spitballing. Basically, just mash them together somehow, I'll love you. 

Also, if you want to write smut for this pairing, go for it. Gentle sex especially would be A+.

Okay, so I loved how Maggie and Jim were so fond of Scott by the time that AMATW happened. It was adorable. I'd love to see fic about them all kind of getting together in a weird, messy, quirky way, possibly with Cassie watching and going "well, I guess that's happening". This can either be before Endgame, where the events of Endgame and Infinity War are ignored, OR post-Endgame, where at the very least Scott was gone for five years and possibly either Maggie or Jim was.

There could be a lot of delicious angst there as they try to put their family back together and help Cassie, and Scott just ends up falling in love with the both of them.

(I love Hope, and I'd be a-okay with her inclusion in any Scott groupings...just amicably breaking Scott and Hope up would work fine.)

(I love all the characters in the MCU, and I'd be happy with their inclusion in any fics.)
